Carlos Trancoso

Carlos Trancoso (1989) is a Portuguese visual artist. He uses the photographic gaze in a critical perspective on the relationship between humans and technology, aiming to challenge established patterns of interaction and creation of images in contemporary society. Although mainly using fictional approaches, his work intermingles with documental photography, creating cameraless images, mixed media, and computer-generated images. He is a member of Barda collective and part of Futures Photography (selected artist by Ci.CLO). He has exhibited at festivals such as Photoalicante (Spain), Backlight (Finland), Photo Open Up (Italy) and Bienal da Maia (Portugal).
