João Bragança Gil (1989) attended the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universidade de Lisboa for two years, but transferred to ESAD for a Bachelor in Industrial Design (2013), and holds a Master in Industrial Design from Central Saint Martins, UAL (2016). He is currently pursuing a Media Arts PhD at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. He has been practicing fine arts full-time since 2019. His work circles through different media (video, installation, sound, and photography) in a quasi-archaeological process, focusing on the issue of landscape, as a living archive, and temporality, in conceptual and poetic gestures. In 2025, Bragança Gil was selected by the Bienal Fotografia do Porto to join the FUTURES platform.
