Sasha Chaika (1994) is a queer nomadic art director and digital photographer from Russia, based in Tbilisi (Georgia). In their artworks Sasha captures moments that seem to re-question situations and familiar routine in general. The artist wants to shatter the ground of understanding to invite whoever interacts with their works to play with social roles and stereotypes of mass culture and create new modern mythologies to expose and disarm already existing mythologies/stereotypes/habits, to question their naturalness and privileged position.
