Teresa Freitas

Teresa Freitas (1990) is a Portuguese photographer and colourist mixing the genres of street, documentary and fine art. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon with a degree in Multimedia Art and a Masters in Design and New Media. Her work, characterised by bright yet calming hues, skilfully navigates the impact of colour in composition, subject, and place, and in the viewer's aesthetic response. She is dedicated to the exploration of colour in photography and its expression as an individual artistic style. Her first solo exhibition was in downtown Seoul, in 2022. In 2024, Freitas was selected by the Bienal Fotografia do Porto to join the FUTURES platform.
