Pyramids

Artist: Josh Helliker

The pyramid buildings constructed during the Thatcher era combined entrepreneurial ambition, mystical symbolism and a neoliberal vision of the future. If they once evoked power, today they appear in Helliker's black and white images as reminiscences of empty promises of progress, denouncing the fragility of Britain's materialist utopia.
