The Meandering

In The Meandering, Emirhan Demirel captures the experiences of the remaining communities on the Turkish (and highly touristic) island of Gökçeada, the goats roaming freely and the memory of a place that persists in resisting. By capturing the complexities of this ever-changing geography, Demirel seeks to understand how history and what is expected of the future define a present where leisure and loss overlap.
