Donja Nasseri brings to light the nuances of the colonial past by adapting historical artefacts to new technological contexts. In collaboration with the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum in Cologne, Nasseri employs 3D technology and watercolour application to artificially manipulate the object, unsettling the temporal boundary between the new and the old. The Mummy Eye thus seeks to reconsider how museum collections can be transmuted into broader narratives, opening space for new reflections and meanings.
