What If I Am a Spy?

Born from a visceral sense of distrust experienced while photographing and roaming the streets of Belarus, Ihar Hancharuk crafts a fictional narrative under the guise of espionage. In What If I am a Spy?, the artist collects everyday objects and images which, once appropriated and assembled within a specific context, draw a parallel to the tensions of a society marked by troubled politics, pervasive control, and collective paranoia.
